CAMPAIGN PROGRESS

Hey everyone! Good evening! I'm Benjamin, the creator of the Josee in Portuguese campaign. I love games and anime, and I'm still new to the world of anime. And Josee is what made me start loving anime.

The story behind how the campaign started was pretty random. It was one Saturday morning when a question popped into my head: “Is there an anime with wheelchair users?”

I have cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair, so that's exactly why that question came to mind. I started searching and found Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. I even subscribed to Crunchyroll just to watch the film.

I looked for it on Crunchyroll and... it wasn't there! I panicked, thinking I had wasted my money HAHAHA. I searched again and found out that it wasn't available in Brazil.

I spent an hour and a half downloading VPNs, trying different browsers, and doing everything I could until I finally managed to watch it. And, man... what an amazing movie!

I even cried. It was the first movie that ever made me cry.

After watching it, I thought: “Man, how is this movie not available in Brazil? I'm going to make a video about it.”

The next day, I went to school and, when I got back, I started making the video. I spent 5 hours editing. I thought the video might get 10,000 or 20,000 views. I would already have been really happy with that.

When I posted it, it got 10,000 views in the first few hours, and I was really happy. But days, weeks, and months went by... and it reached A MASSIVE 450,000 VIEWS!

I was like: “NO WAY, MAN!”

A few months passed, and I even bought the Japanese collector's edition of Josee. And thanks, Pitaya, for buying it for me! :)

And now I'm here, creating a website for the campaign. From now on, every week I'll talk here about how the campaign is going, my ideas, website updates, and much more!!!
